WELCOME!
My aspirations as an artist is to let go of “realism” and allow myself to create bright vibrant paintings representing the spiritual joy of life expressed. I am no longer interested in painting reality in which our eyes can see, but more so revealing the enlighten reality in which I feel in my being. Allowing the soul to revel itself through the paint, while paying tribute to my culture capturing the beauty of my ancestors’ descendants revealing our connection back to the ultimate creator.

How it started...
When I was a kid, I felt like my family was a real life version of the top black sitcoms of the 90s. Soon I was yanked out of my beloved all-Black school to a school where no one looks like me and didn't hesitate to remind me of that on a daily basis. I experienced racism for the first time- insecurities, damaging lack of representation, and feelings of isolation.

Representation is so important...
I was always inspired by my mom's African sculptures and I began to paint portraits of Black beauty as a way to connect back to my culture which brings me joy and great pride. As American descendants of slaves, we were born with centuries of cultural lost. Painting a better picture for myself was better than the picture the news and society painted to me as a child of the 90s.

Natural ambiguous beauty with a kawaii twist makes my creativity tik!
The mysteries of the Black woman are my ultimate muse, and this is why I paint them more than men. God made a man first! So I love them too and will represent the other half, however I really enjoy capturing her beauty. I also enjoy racially ambiguous features. I will paint a better picture representing my people in a way that's not cliche, in a way that triumphs Black excellence connecting us back to the ultimate creator. This is why I want to share my art with the world everyday.
FAQ's
Are you open for commissions?
Yes! I take on a few very select commissions per year between collections. These spaces are extremely limited especially during summer months. This time is reserved for series of collections. No static generic family portraits, I only want to capture your beauty not your drivers license photo. Abstract works are welcome. If you would like to chat more about this, please use the "get in touch" section of my website.
Do you ship internationally?
All the time! I use a trusted express worldwide shipping courier - DHL, Fed Ex and UPS. All shipping is insured and packaged extremely securely.
Customs fees are sometimes due depending on your home country, please check you are happy with this before purchasing. We are not responsible for any customs/VAT import duties from your purchases.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We are based in the USA, and all prints are made to order with the highest level of care. Because quality takes time, please keep the following shipping timelines in mind:
- Standard Prints: Estimated delivery 3-4 weeks from the order date.
- Embellished Prints: Estimated delivery 4-6 weeks to allow extra time for hand-painted details and varnishing.
Each print is first shipped to me for a wet signature before making its way to you. This process ensures every piece is personally approved and finished with the attention it deserves.
Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive tracking information so you can follow its journey to you. Thank you for your patience—art this special is always worth the wait! ❤️
Do you restock sold out prints?
If we have created a timed edition release, if sold out: NO, darling, if you snooze you loose. No more prints will be produced or sold. Numbers are normally very limited and we recommend to avoid FOMO by getting your hands on them as they release!
Sometimes, maybe we just might run archive sales if any prints are left over from releases and sell the last few remaining prints - but these are at least a year after the initial release. Don't hold your breath.

Good to Know (a.k.a. Let’s Set Some Expectations, Fam)
So, you just ordered a beautiful, custom fine art print—yay! 🎉 But before you start refreshing your tracking info every five minutes, here’s the deal:
- Made to Order, Always. I don’t keep a stockpile of prints lying around. Each piece is freshly made just for you, so quality takes priority over speed.
- Two Trips, One Masterpiece. Your print takes a little journey—it ships to me first so I can add my personal touch with a wet signature (yes, straight from my hand, not a stamp!). Only then does it make its way to you.
- Embellished Prints Need Extra Love. If you ordered an embellished print, just know that Shaz’s magic takes time! ✨ These beauties require extra care, including hand-painted details and varnishing, so they may take up to two weeks longer before they’re ready to ship.
- Patience is a Virtue (and Appreciated). I know you’re excited, and trust me, I am too! But please, don’t email me three days after ordering asking for tracking info. Great things take time, and I want your print to be perfect.
- Art Takes Time, Not Amazon Speed. This isn’t a mass-produced item—it’s a carefully crafted, high-quality work of art. So sit back, relax, and know that something truly special is on its way to you.
Thanks for your patience and support—I promise it’s worth the wait! ❤️
